The Story

Back in 2022, QK released their first product, the QK65, and officially launched the QwertyKeys brand. The QK65 initiated the trend of budget mechanical keyboards and made customized mechanical keyboards more accessible than ever before. Almost two years later, they have made significant contributions to the budget mechanical keyboard market and have a strong commitment to improving and delivering better products to you. Allow us to introduce the new generation of their milestone product - the QK65v2.

Front Design

The original QK65 has a very minimal design, so for the v2, we wanted to add some flavour to make it more recognizable. We are delighted to see that the mini screen on QK's keyboard has become a popular way for users to showcase their personality. Therefore, we have retained the mini screen on the v2 and added a bezel to allow for more customization.

Another popular element in QK's design, the LED strip, has been relocated to the top left corner of the case and wrapped with a bezel in the matching colour as the screen bezel to create a more balanced front profile. Additional bezels will be available for purchase for mix-and-match use.

The QK65 used to have the bottom case exposed on the USB port side, which is not visible in daily use. Therefore, we moved the dual-tone side to the front. Users can also choose the same colour for both the top and bottom case to create a more unified appearance.

Back Design

Similar to the QK75N, the QK65v2 features a large piece of weight on its back side, along with a themed badge and matching tag. All of these components can be customized to create a unique keyboard for users. The USB dongle can be stored under the badge, allowing you to enjoy a wireless typing experience anywhere without worrying about losing it.

Structure

The use of magnetic connectors on our previous products has received very positive market feedback. On top of that, we incorporated a clip-in mechanism into the QK65v2 to further simplify the assembly process. The case can be disassembled in less than 10 seconds by simply removing the rubber feet and releasing the clips.

The QK65v2 is compatible with both PCB gasket mount and top mount. We have added plate cushions around the screw holes to eliminate any potential case ping when using the top mount. Additionally, the PCB daughterboard now has its own gasket to ensure mobility with the magnetic connectors.
